User Instructions for Marking a Maintenance Quote as a Lost Deal

This guide will walk you through the process of marking a maintenance quote as a lost deal in the system. Follow the steps below to complete the task.

Step 1: Open the Maintenance Contract Quotes

  • Navigate to the Maintenance Contract Quotes section. You can do this by searching for it in the search bar or selecting it from the menu.

Step 2: Select the Maintenance Quote

  • In the list of maintenance quotes, find the quote you want to update.
  • Select the quote by clicking on it.

Step 3: Edit the Maintenance Quote

  • Click Edit to open the details of the selected maintenance quote.

Step 4: Reopen the Maintenance Quote

  • In the details view, click on the Reopen option to reopen the maintenance quote.

Step 5: Mark the Quote as a Lost Deal

  • After reopening the quote, locate and click on the Create Lost Deal option.
  • The Create Lost Deal is a line by line option. Once a line is considered lost it is removed from the quote.
  • Any remaining lines will stay until they are marked as lost or converted into a contract.

Step 6: Confirm Your Action

  • When prompted, confirm your action by selecting Yes on the confirmation window that appears.

Step 7: Specify the Reason Code

  • A new page will open where you can choose a reason for marking the quote as a lost deal.
  • Click on the field for Reason Code to see a list of available reasons.
  • From the list, select the reason that best applies to your situation by clicking on it.

Step 8: Finalize the Reason Code Selection

  • After choosing the reason, confirm your choice by clicking Ok.

Step 9: Complete the Process

  • The system will return to the main view and close the details of the lost deal.
  • The maintenance quote is now marked as a lost deal, removed from the quote list, and the process is complete.

NOTE A maintenance quote will be removed from the quote list with the Lost Deal function when all lines are marked as lost. If all lines are not marked as lost, the quote will remain in the list until all lines are lost or the quote is converted into a contract.

Congratulations! You have successfully marked a maintenance quote as a lost deal in the system. Search for Lost Deals to see the quote lost deal.
